This Cookie Policy explains how Mylapore Express ("we", "us", "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on mylaporeexpress.com and our ordering pages. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store. When you return, your browser sends it back, which is how the site recognises that a series of requests come from the same visitor: that you are signed in, that you have items in your cart, or that you chose a particular language.
Some cookies are set by us, and some are set by other companies whose services we use, such as our payment processor. Some are deleted when you close your browser; others remain until they expire or you delete them.
We also use two related technologies that are not cookies but store data in your browser: local storage, which persists until it is cleared, and session storage, which is cleared when you close the tab. Neither is sent to our servers automatically.
When you first visit, a banner asks which categories of cookies you accept.
Strictly necessary cookies are always active. Without them you could not sign in, keep a cart or complete a checkout. Analytics and any other optional cookies are set only after you consent. The functional cookies listed in Section 3 are set by our own server when you use the control they belong to; Section 3 explains how to remove them.
You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer of any page. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it.
We use Google Consent Mode, which means that until you consent, Google's tags set no cookies and send no identifiers. They may still send a basic, cookieless signal (for example, that a page was viewed), which carries no identifier and cannot be used to recognise you or your device.

These remember choices you have made, so you do not have to make them again. Each one is set at the moment you use the filter or picker it belongs to, and not before.
Our own server sets these directly, rather than a script running in your browser, which means the cookie banner cannot block them in advance. You can remove them by clearing the filter or picker, or by clearing cookies in your browser.

We do not use advertising or targeting cookies, and we do not sell or share the information collected by cookies with advertising networks.
Separately from our banner, you can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent sign-in, the cart and checkout from working.
To opt out of Google Analytics across all websites, you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Please note that clearing your cookies also clears the record of your consent choice, so our banner will appear again.
Our published Cookie Policy page also carries an automatically generated list of the cookies a scan detects on our site. That scan cannot see the cookies that are only set after you sign in, add to cart or check out; those are described in Section 3 above. Where the two differ about a cookie the scanner can see, the live list is the more current source for names and lifetimes.
We may update this Cookie Policy. We will post the updated policy on this page and change the "Last updated" date above. If we begin using a new category of cookie, we will ask for your consent before setting it.
